Why not come and join the band!   We are recruiting new members of all ages – if you and are looking for a social activity to have fun, keep your fit and exercise your brain as well as your body, why not come along and give it a go.  We are particularly keen to recruit older people, especially those who might have recently retired and maybe keen to reignite their interest in playing a musical instrument.

During the past three years, we have been unable to recruit sufficient numbers to replace those who have had to leave the band (for various personal / progressional reasons). Consequently, taking into account the availability of those who remain, we have had to curtail the number of our performances during 2016 (missing out on some exciting opportunities).

We now urgently need new members, to remain viable going forward. If new members do not join, in may be very difficult for the band  to survive in 2017. Can you, or anyone you know, help?

We welcome children (from 7) and adults, whether they are new or experienced musicians. Many of us joined with little musical experience and the Band has proven to be a great development opportunity for us all.

We receive many invitations each year to perform for a variety of events such as military occasions, local town mayor/council services, fetes, carnivals, Christmas Lights and weddings (and receive great feedback). We really want to be in a position to revert back to a full programme in 2017.

Please come along to one of our practices (and maybe also bring a friend) to see what we do and perhaps ‘have a go’.

Our practices take place on Sundays (10-11.30am) and Wednesdays (6.30-7.30pm) but if you can only attend one practice per week, that is not a problem.
